We can easily record out desktop with VLC media player. Following are the steps to record desktop video.
1. Open VLC media player.
2. Press Ctrl+C to open "Capture Device".
3. Select capture mode as "Desktop".
4. Press Alt+S to open steam output window.
5. Click Next and press "Add" button.
6. Press "Browse" button.
7 Give a file name and save it to anywhere in your computer.
8. Now click "Stream" button to start desktop recording.
9. When recording is finished, press the stop button of the VLC media player.
10. Open the saved video file to see the desktop recording.
